HESSAY PARISH COUNCIL

MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL ZOOM MEETING HELD ON-LINE AT 7.00PM ON THURSDAY 25 MARCH 2021

Attending on-line: Councillors Mark Barratt (Chairman), Olivia Johnson, Mike Lord and George Ramshaw. Also present on-line were one member of the public and the Clerk, James Mackman.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
None.

21.035 – CO-OPTION AND INTRODUCTION OF NEW COUNCILLOR
The Chairman reported that he had a resident who was a strong candidate for co-option.

21.036 – TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTEREST (NOT PREVIOUSLY DECLARED) ON ANY MATTERS OF BUSINESS
None.

21.037 – TO RECEIVE APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE GIVEN IN ADVANCE OF THE MEETING
All Councillors being present there were no apologies.

21.038 – TO CONSIDER THE APPROVAL OF REASONS GIVEN FOR ABSENCE
All Councillors being present there were no reasons of absence to consider.

21.039 – PLANNING APPLICATIONS
(a) To consider the following Planning Applications: –

Ref: 21/00162/FUL – Erection of industrial building to form 3no. storage units (use class B8) at Builders Yard, Station Yard, New Road.
No objections

Ref: 21/00623/FUL – Single-storey extension to outbuilding following demolition of existing projection and reopening of blocked up windows to first floor at The Grange, Main Street
No objections but has the following comments.
1. We seek assurance that the buildings will be DDA compliant
2. The use should be restricted to Class B
3. The preferred route of access be by New Road and the A59 (not through Hessay village)

(b) To note Local Authority Planning Decisions
It was noted that the City Council had not yet made a decision on the one planning application in the system.

21.040 – TO CONSIDER MINOR MATTERS
None.

21.041 – TO CONSIDER NEW ITEMS FOR THE NEXT AGENDA
None.

21.042 – TO AGREE THE DATE OF NEXT MEETING
It was agreed that the next meeting would be held at 7.30pm on Thursday 20th May 2021. It will be preceded by the Annual Parish
Meeting which will commence at 7.00pm. The decision as to whether the meeting should be held online or at the Methodist Chapel will be taken when the government’s regulations regarding the Covid-19 pandemic are known.

There being no more business the meeting was formally closed at 7.28pm.
