HESSAY PARISH COUNCIL

MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD AT 6.45PM IN THE CHAPEL SCHOOLROOM, HESSAY, ON WEDNESDAY 16 JULY 2019

Present: Councillors Mark Barratt (Chairman), Olivia Johnson, Mike Lord, George Ramshaw and Ann Watson. Also present was the Clerk, James Mackman.

19.086 – TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTEREST (NOT PREVIOUSLY DECLARED) ON ANY MATTERS OF BUSINESS
None.

19.087 – TO RECEIVE APOLOGIES AND APPROVE REASONS FOR ABSENCE
All Councillors being present there were no apologies.

19.088 – PLANNING APPLICATIONS
(a) The Councillors considered the planning applications as listed below: –
Details of Planning Application – Comments
Ref: 19/00969/FUL – Two-storey and single-storey rear extensions (amended scheme) at Dexter House, The Fold.
The Parish Council does not object but wishes to make sure that the neighbours are not adversely affected by the proposed extensions.

Ref: 19/01194/FUL – Single-storey rear extension, single-storey side extension to house oil tank, 1no. roof light to rear and erection of detached store to rear at Alder House, 4 Laburnum Farm Close.
The Parish Council does not object but has the following concerns:
1. The proposed location of the oil tank and its proximity to the house and neighbouring property.
2. The proposed location of the new shed may extend the built form of the village and impact on the Green Belt.

(b) To note Local Authority Planning Decisions
It was noted that there had been no planning application for the Local Planning Authority to approve.

19.089 – TO DISCUSS THE PROVISION OF A DEFIBRILLATOR IN THE VILLAGE
Councillor Johnson gave details and costs of the defibrillator and cabinet for the defibrillator. It was agreed that the Clerk should order both items. (Action Clerk)
The defibrillator will be fixed to a post which has to be installed. It was agreed that the post should be erected in front of the roadside hedge by the children’s playground. The Clerk is to ask City Councillor Anne Hook to seek the City Council’s permission for a suitable post to be erected. (Action Clerk)

19.090 – TO AGREE THE DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The date of the next meeting was agreed as Wednesday 18 September 2019 at 7.00pm.

There being no more business the meeting was formally closed at 7.20pm.
